Introduction: Immerse yourself in the ancient city of Perge, a stunning testament to the grandeur of antiquity, meticulously recreated in virtual reality (VR). Our project aims to provide an immersive and engaging experience for guests who are eager to explore and appreciate the rich history of the region. While not an academic work, this VR model has been crafted with utmost precision and attention to detail to present an accurate representation of the city.
Reviving the Past: The city of Perge, located in modern-day Turkey, was an important center of Hellenistic and Roman civilizations. With our VR project, we invite you to step back in time and experience the beauty and magnificence of this ancient city. We have painstakingly researched and incorporated the architectural elements, city planning, and artistic features that defined Perge in its heyday.
Embracing the Fluidity of History:
It is important to note that, while we have made every effort to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of our VR model, the nature of archaeology and the limited availability of evidence inherently impose certain limitations on our representation of Perge. In creating this immersive experience, our primary objective is to capture the essence of the city as it once was – a thriving, bustling metropolis teeming with life and cultural richness.

Rather than catering solely to academics, we have designed the VR experience to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of the area's history among guests from all walks of life. By bringing the city to life in virtual reality, we hope to inspire curiosity, spark imaginations, and create memorable experiences.
Accuracy and Authenticity: To ensure the authenticity of our VR model, we have drawn on a wealth of historical sources, archaeological findings, and expert knowledge. While the model may not be suited for academic research or scientific discoveries and may not represent a hundred percent true to origins representation of this individual city, it offers a faithful representation of the city's appearance and ambiance during its prime. Our main goal is to show guests the life the city had once upon a time.
